The Red Pump Project closed its doors.

Red Pumps of the Week

Hello, all!

I’m so honored to be working with the Red Pump Project to present to you the “Red Pumps of the Week” blog series. Since the Red Pump represents the mission of this fabulous initiative, we want to assist you in your search to find shoes that fit your budget and sense of style.

What better way to kick it off than with some fabulous red wedge sandals!

I love the patent leather upper on both shoes.

The Connie by Lovely People (left) has a studded patent leather and cork sole. It’s amazing how all three elements add to the shoe’s appeal without overdoing it. These can be found on for $81.19 to be exact.

The Gerda by Donald J. Pliner (right) has a lovely t-strap style and an espadrille-inspired sole. Nothing says “Summer” like an espadrille. These can also be found on ($148.47).

Now, if only we could convince the Summertime gods to extend the Summer weather for a couple more months. A girl can dream…

Nikia Jefferson, the woman behind the ChiTown Fashionista blog, has always had a love for shoes and shopping, in general. It was after spending eight months in London – which enabled her to frequent the London markets and travel to Italy and France – that her passion for fashion increased. During this time, Nikia realized there were so many independent designers that needed a platform to gain exposure and thus, created the ChiTown Fashionista blog.

Nikia loves to inform fellow shopaholics and fashionistas of remarkable up-and-coming designers that either fall under the radar or are on their way towards mass consumer recognition (both locally and internationally). She is drawn to one-of-a-kind items that tend to garner attention and spark conversation. Deemed as ‘the enabler of fashion consumption’, Nikia features these types of items on the ChiTown Fashionista blog in an effort to persuade readers to make a purchase in support of the designers.
