Chicago, Rock the RED at these Events With Us

Last Thursday was National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and we’re still rocking the red pump all over Chicago this month!

“Educate, Inspire, and Transform” FREE Workshop

This Saturday, Red Pump will lead a service learning workshop for Chicago teen girls at “Educate, Inspire, and Transform,” an intergenerational HIV prevention workshop sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services and by the Stakeholders Collaboration to Improve Student Health. The workshop is FREE and open to women and girls of all ages. The day will consist of interactive workshops and FREE testing will be available on-site. For more information, click here.

Second Annual “Rock the Red” Fashion Show

Tickets are still on sale for our 2nd Annual “Rock the Red” Fashion Show on Thursday, March 24th. The event will be held at Britten Loft (1420 S. Michigan) and starts at 6p with a cocktail hour. We will present youth filmmaker and HIV activist Keyana Ray with this year’s Ultimate Red Pump Rocker award. In 2006, Keyana wrote the award-winning “Reflections,” a movie about how three African-American girls handle the threat of HIV/AIDS. VIP tickets are $50 and general admission tickets are $25. To purchase your tickets and get additional details about the show, visit our Event page. Join us for a night of fashion and awareness and come hang out with us afterward at Lumen for the official afterparty!
