About Red Pump Reads
Red Pump Reads is an initiative by The Red Pump Project® to encourage women to read literature that discusses and explores HIV/AIDS.
Our inaugural selection is Pearl Cleage’s What Looks Like Crazy on An Ordinary Day, which is celebrating its 20th year in print on World AIDS Day and was a global bestseller and Oprah Book Club selection.
We encourage women to read the book by December 1st, World AIDS Day 2017, and join our global book club conversation. If purchasing on Amazon, we ask you to use Amazon Smile and select Red Pump Project.
Join the movement now by committing to read the book! RSVP for our virtual book club meeting on December 1st and share with the women in your life and your favorite book club.
In addition to our programs, our signature events commemorate major
HIV awareness days throughout the year, bringing people together to show that
Awareness is Always in Style!
